• Outdoor: you need the court footprint (~23m x 14m including clearance) plus room for lighting poles. No ceiling constraint.
• Indoor: a standard sports hall needs a ceiling height of at least 7m (the court enclosure is 4m tall, plus lighting and ventilation clearance). The hall length ideally 30m+ to fit courts plus clearance.

Both options need the same court foundation: a reinforced concrete ring beam (typically 40cm x 40cm) plus a porous concrete or asphalt slab. The difference is the building:

• Outdoor: courts sit on an open slab; civil works are simpler and cheaper
• Indoor: you also need the building shell (steel frame, roof, cladding), which significantly increases construction cost
