Norwich vs Manchester United
Saturday’s late Premier League kick-off will see Manchester United take on Norwich City at Carrow Road.
Norwich head into the game still bottom of the Premier League table despite a slight upturn in form since Dean Smith arrived.
The Canaries only have 10 points to their name and remain in possession of the worst defensive record in the Premier League.
Manchester United, on the other hand, are currently on the up, having won their last two league matches – looking much more impressive under Ralf Rangnick with a full-strength side vs Crystal Palace last week.
As a result, a Red Devils win does seem quite likely this weekend. For more information on the game, check out the link below:
Dean Smith on stopping Cristiano Ronaldo
One of the biggest tasks facing Norwich on Saturday will be stopping Cristiano Ronaldo.
Even at 36 Ronaldo is a real threat, scoring 12 and assisting two in 18 outings across all competitions for Manchester United so far this term.
Now, ahead of Saturday’s game, Dean Smith was asked about how to stop CR7, to which the Norwich boss responded:
“A really good defensive performance and it has to be that to keep a player like Cristiano quiet.
“He can score all kinds of goals as we have seen, not just this season but over the last 12 to 15 seasons.
“Our players will certainly have to be at their best and it will have to be a good defensive performance.”
